Art Directing A Product Launch Through Real Creator Stories

In early 2025, I worked with the Oslo-based production company Reimagine to art direct one part of the launch of reMarkable Paper Pro Move, reMarkable’s smaller paper tablet designed for on-the-go note-taking. I led the art direction, collaborated on story development, and visual language, centring the launch around the people who actually created the product.

The result was a launch film presented at the event, alongside four longer films, each focusing on individual creators and their perspective.

Background

For the launch of reMarkable Paper Pro Move, the campaign was split into two distinct directions. One focused on a more emotional, awareness-driven concept, while the other centred on close, product-led storytelling told directly through the creators themselves.

I was the lead designer and art director on the client side for the creator-led direction, as well as for the launch film presented during the live event.

Results

The creator stories became the best-performing launch ads reMarkable had released to date. The live launch event attracted close to 150,000 viewers and received strong positive feedback, both internally and externally.
