In the latter half of 2023, reMarkable partnered with Logan to explore a fresh approach to storytelling. Moving beyond rational, work-focused messaging, the project aimed to infuse reMarkable’s marketing with emotional resonance, attracting new audiences while staying true to the brand’s identity.

Background
Historically, reMarkable’s marketing focused on rational benefits tailored to professionals. While effective, this approach left little room to connect with audiences on a deeper, emotional level.
The challenge was to craft a series of four films—spread across three campaigns—that balanced emotional storytelling with the functional aspects of the product.
The Films
The project began with collaborative workshops and briefings with Logan, where I provided input and contributed to key design and storytelling elements, including storyboards, messaging, screen content, casting, styling, locations, and set design.
Filming took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. On set, I worked closely with the director and creative team to ensure every detail aligned with the vision. This included training actors to use the product naturally and perform effectively on camera, contributing to set dressing, and assisting with talent styling to maintain consistency with reMarkable’s brand identity.
Post-production was a meticulous process, involving 3D design, VFX, and detailed reviews. I collaborated closely with Logan’s teams to refine the films, create a variety of cutdowns to test messaging, and ensure they adhered to reMarkable’s standards and visual guidelines.
Ads
To diversify the campaign further, I designed static ads, landing pages, and email campaigns. Below is a snippet showcasing some of these static ads.
Results
The campaigns provided reMarkable with invaluable insights into crafting a more emotionally resonant narrative for its products. Notably, the Holiday campaign became one of the most successful in reMarkable’s history.
